MONEY FOR MISSIONS

I was calculating the other day that this church has, since we began, sent over $30,000 to missions. That may not sound like a lot, but remember that we are a mission church, having begun less than seven years ago. We needed help, yet we still helped in places like Kerala, India, Ensenada, Mexico, Oaxaca, Chiapas and Mexico City, Mexico, and Jakarta, Indonesia. Amazing!

Amazing first that God has blessed us with the funds to bless others. Amazing second that our leaders have felt led to support missions, and amazing that several of you have carried most of that load through Faith Promise for World Evangelism.

I realize some of you newer folk don’t know about Faith Promise, so I promise to introduce you to it in a few weeks.

Vacation. Carmelita and I will be on vacation beginning Wednesday, the 1st, and we will return on Wednesday, the 8th. You will be in our prayers every day, and we hope to be in yours also.

  • Missionaries: Philip Watkinson & Gil Contreras, Mexico; Bob MacLean, Indonesia, for replacement; John Gabriel, India

  • Salvation: Neighbors, friends, family;  Laura Orozco and Gordon’s other friends who need the Lord; Karen Waller’s dad; Tom Hunter; Frances & Barbara’s brother Joshua Vasquez 

  • Incarcerated: Irma Saenz’s husband Zosimo in Minnesota; Robert Cardarelli, Ione, CA

  • Salt & Light: New seal campaign

  • Outreach: CIY Youth Conference in Highland Park

  • Youth: Adult sponsors needed.

  • Housing: Martha Sanchez needs a place to live.

  • Parents: For wisdom for all of us who are parenting and grand-parenting.
